Deploy a Digital NOTAM Consumer

The DNOTAM Consumer connects to an AISP provider via AMQP 1.0 over mTLS, subscribes to Digital NOTAM events, and distributes them internally through Kafka. This tutorial covers deploying the consumer on your Kubernetes cluster. The companion video demonstrates this deployment on an OpenShift environment.

Steps

  1. Ensure prerequisites are met and certificates are configured
  2. Apply the Consumer Custom Resource or Helm chart
  3. Configure the AMQP connection to the external provider
  4. Set subscription parameters (topic, filter, heartbeat interval)
  5. Deploy and verify the consumer is receiving DNOTAM events
